General Terms and Conditions for the provision of services and online courses.
1. Basic Provisions
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as "GTC") govern the rights and obligations between Avenue78, s. r. o., with registered office at Veternicova 3113/17, 841 05 Bratislava, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Bratislava I (hereinafter referred to as the "Provider") and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the "Customer").
The GTC are created in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Slovak Republic, in particular:
- Act No. 513/1991 Coll. Commercial Code
- Act No. 40/1964 Coll. Civil Code
- Act No. 250/2007 Coll. on Consumer Protection
- Act No. 102/2014 Coll. on Consumer Protection in Distance Sales
- EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR)
2. Subject of Agreement
The subject of the agreement is the provision of consulting services, educational programs, and online courses/webinars in the field of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and strategic consulting.
The agreement between the Provider and the Customer is concluded by the Customer submitting an order and its acceptance by the Provider, whereby sending an invoice or order confirmation is also considered acceptance.
3. Payment Terms
Invoice due date: All invoices are due within 14 days of their issue, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment methods:
- Bank transfer to the Provider's account
- Online payment via payment gateway (for online courses)
In case of late payment, the Provider is entitled to charge interest on arrears at a rate of 0.05% of the outstanding amount for each day of delay.
4. Special Conditions for Online Courses and Webinars
Order and payment process:
- The Customer selects a course from the offer on the Provider's website
- Payment must be made via the online payment gateway before the start of the course/webinar
- Upon successful receipt of payment, a confirmation email with instructions and login details for the course/webinar is sent to the Customer's email address
Cancellation and refund:
- The Customer has the right to withdraw from the agreement without giving a reason within 14 days of purchasing the course, provided they have not yet started using it
- On the day of the course/webinar and after its start, it is no longer possible to request a refund
- Access to online content is considered the commencement of performance, which terminates the right to withdraw from the agreement
Materials and certificates:
- After the course ends, materials and documents are made available to the Customer according to the course content
- If the course includes a certificate of completion, it will be delivered to the Customer's email address within 7 business days of course completion
5. Complaints and Liability for Defects
The Customer has the right to file a complaint about the provided service if it was not delivered in the agreed scope or quality.
Complaint procedure:
- The complaint must be submitted in writing to email: daniel.buchta@avenue78.com
- The complaint must include a description of the defect and the requested resolution
- The Provider will resolve the complaint within 30 days of its receipt
The Provider is not responsible for technical problems on the Customer's side (internet connection, incompatible device, etc.).
6. Personal Data Protection
The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is available on the Privacy Policy page.
7. Intellectual Property
All materials provided as part of courses and services (presentations, videos, documents, tools) are protected by copyright and are the property of the Provider.
The Customer may not, without the written consent of the Provider:
- Copy, distribute, or publish materials
- Record online courses or webinars
- Use materials for commercial purposes
8. Final Provisions
These GTC are valid and effective from December 1, 2025.
The Provider reserves the right to amend these GTC. The Customer will be informed of changes through the website.
Legal relations not regulated by these GTC are governed by the relevant legal regulations of the Slovak Republic.
In case of disputes, the court in Bratislava has jurisdiction.
